Mark Kersey Endorses Sheffo For Encinitas City Council
ENCINITAS - Joe Sheffo, candidate for Encinitas City Council, today received the endorsement of Mark Kersey, current president of the San Diego Young Republicans
“I’ve gotten to know Joe through his work in the party’s precinct program and his participation with the Young Republicans. In that time, I’ve always found him to be a strong believer in low taxes, limited regulation, and the free market,” said Kersey. “I believe he would be a welcome addition to both the Encinitas City Council and the many regional agencies that make policy for the county as a whole. I am happy to give him my endorsement.”
“Mark has done more for the Republican Party in North County than any other young leader. He has also played a major role in preparing and encouraging the next generation of leaders who will guide the party into the future. It is an honor to have his support,” said Sheffo.
In addition to being the president of the Young Republicans, Kersey is also the district leader for the 74th Assembly District and was recently elected to sit on the party’s Central Committee in 2009. He is a small business owner and former candidate for Solana Beach City Council.

boy, I don't know how you'd win without the Mark Kersey endorsement. man, there's no stopping you now.
Sheffo is a good guy and would make a good city council member. Sheffo is a local boy and it would be nice to have a Gen X'er on the council.
Per the posting on JP's blog, Maggie Houlihan is running for re-election and is endorsed by...
San Diego - Imperial Counties Labor Council
Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 2028
Sierra Club
U.S. Congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham...
Very fitting since she is under criminal investigation by the FPPC...
She and Joe could do great things to Encinitas!
Sheffo will be a needed balance against the protax increase Houlihan, Stocks, and Dalager. Houlihan is a clown and but it is only fair to point out that Stocks freely admits to violating FPPC laws. His stupid quote is something like, "I am a better councilman than a treasurer"
Stocks is history. Steffo and Nanninga are winning hearts and minds of conservative and conservation minded residents. Collier will also be a force to reckon with as she presents a sensible alternative to Houlihan's antics.
