Havent seen/heard from Marti lately. Did she realize its going to a run off and the best way for her not to implode further was to get on a two week cruise to Mexico?

You know, it's not hard to make this woman go crazy. I'd like to go the fundraiser, totally wired with recording devices, and see how long it takes Marti to start acting paranoid about it.

I dont normally comment on these blogs but I was at the event with the firemen in front of Bolings office the other day with Marti Emerald and I have to say, as a professional, she sounded berserk.

I got the mailer on the trial lawyers today it was pretty good the bit about Marty and kickbacks... very bad.

I also got a knock on the door today from a young person with something I could sign that was saying Marti did nothing about the things going on at City Hall and there must have been 15 signed pages underneath.

I signed it. So did my husband.

I had a visitor at my San Carlos home. She had a stack a half inch think of the same signed petition. Why didn't she do any stories about what was going down on city hall? Ive been thinking about it since that nice girl visited. How many 'Do they REALLY change your oil?' stories did she need to do?

If you cheney-ites are so smart, then why are you gathering petitions at the door? Are you going to submit them to our City Council or something??

I think all the "redcounty" readers should remember this is becoming a bluecounty. The Boling people are crazy if they think their negative campaign can overrun Marti and her history here.

Maybe this will go to another election in November. Maybe. But Marti will be up in June and finish the job in November.

Today's mail I got a piece from the unions about how marti loves cops and fire which was not exactly well done. I got another piece in an envelope from Marti about april being a crook. I got another piece from 'atlas' whatever that is saying good things about april and I got a piece from april on marti and the trail lawyers. My ranking:

I don't see April and her volunteers going over to Marti's office with news media protesting about 9/11 and the pension issue.

April is professional and has class. Marti doesn't.

Hey John Said, want to see what "well done" really looks like? Then go ahead and vote for Ms Boling who will proceed to cut fire department service employees benefits and watch them leave the departments in droves and then watch how "well done" your house will look after one of our seasonal fires comes through your neighborhood. I'd say you're toast after electing Ms. Boling.

Is it really "cutting" benefits when said benefits are including retirement pension and a rather sizable chunk of their salary? Do you think it is acceptable for a fireman or policeman to be making $120,000 a year? AFTER retirement mind you. That's the kind of "benefits" which have put our city in the hole that it is in.

Reinstating the DROP program is one of the highest priorities of the labor union bosses who are spending money on electing Marti Emerald.

The cities budget is millions of dollars in the hole. A primary reason being the DROP program. Marti Emerald says quote "DROP actually saves the city money." Wow, I'd hate to be the shmo that gets stuck "following that money" as she says if she were elected.

America's "Finest City" is engaged in some of the most corrupt and dangerous financial perils this side of Detroit.

Elect Marti Emerald and her gang of merry union thugs and you will have a new slogan, "America's Most Ruinous City."

Inside the thing which folds out pretty big are some quotes from various people who were screwed over by trial lawyers and some people who say they were wronged by her over on the news.

The back, which I thought was the best part, points out that investigator Marti didnt investigate the mess at city hall even once but she had time for all these screwball investigations.

Oh, guess you all missed this piece. What's up with the lawsuit against Dick Murphy and April Boling that came before the City of San Diego Ethics Commission (Case No 2004-49? Something about the mishandling of $35,000 of Dick Murphy's political money? Boling has been on a number of political action committees and worked as the treasurer for many of them, including election campaigns. I wonder where else she's made a financial sidestep. Hum….. And she's qualified to run for City Council? She is more of an INSIDER playing with the numbers. Accountants are well aware of how to hide things. If you want more of the same monkey business at City Hall, just vote for Ms Boling.

The money was campaign contributions spent outside of the allotted time given to spend the money for a campaign. Boling caught the mistake and self reported.

If you were to take the time to read the entire report you would see the ethics commission actually thanks Ms. Boling and applauds her for coming forward and doing so.

But that would be asking too much of a lefty, I know. Either too ignorant to read the full report or just buy the labor council talking points hook, line and sinker.

So, you're saying that it took a lawsuit to get Ms Boling to fess up to her "mistake"? Come now. You know better than that. Nice try. When was the last time it took a lawsuit to get you to admit to misdeed/misappropriation...or whatever? Hopefully, you've never had to face one.
