SAN DIEGO COUNTY (CA):

Saint James Hartline is a "Christian" Gun Grabber

Posted by: Slotur | 05/22/2008 10:10 AM

In San Diego, there is no one on the far right that hasn't been attacked by Jim Hartline.

Name a figure in San Diego politics; they have been attacked as not "Christian" enough. Same goes for every pro-family leader in the county and the country.

The self proclaimed Saint James Hartline claims that he is no longer a homosexual and clearly that is a focus of his. He also is intent on tearing down every San Diego Republican.

The Family Values Voter Guide has revealed that Hartline doesn't believe that our Constitution was inspired by Godly men. He rejects the Founding Fathers and the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Hartline answers the question in the survey for Central Committee 76th AD. It says he Supports "Gun Control programs such as gun registration, gun owner licensing"

Gun grabbing. Just another reason Hartline isn't representative of conservatives or Christians.

How does one become a "former" homosexual? Either you are or you're not. It's like you can't be a little bit pregnant.

Mr. Hartline has negligible chances to getting their if he continues with his antics. The only ways I can see him do it is two fold.

Find a incredibly large number of new wealthy backers that he is willing to share with his fellow republicans in exchange for party endorsement. Everybody has their price.

But then it dawned on me. By voting for Hartline. I would by default not be voting for some people running who I have genuine personal affinity for. And I know that CC meetings are boring formailities where its more important to be seen than do anything else for many opperatives and politicos who really do not need to be there, but are obligated to go.
Every CC meeting that is not attended is one more day where an overworked and under-paid opperative, lobbiest or buisnessman can go home take off their tie or high heels and relax at home chatting with friends or watching TV, or spending quality time with their spouse and kids.
By voting for Hartline, who I don't care for. I would be voting to giving those who I personally care for, the gift of leisure time after a stressful day at work. For me, this is a vote that feels pretty good.

Your logic makes no sense. hartline would be an annoyance and time waster on the Central Commitee. If anything, he would make the meeting more of a necessary things because he would attempt to throw everyone he disagrees with off the central committee. If no one shows up, he'd be successful in doing so.

I say, if he does get elected God-forbid, that someone call a motion to throw him off immediately after he's sworn in. I'm sure that would be an easy vote on the first day since he's thrown everyone under the bud for his own personal and political gain.

I made this posting for two reasons, to challenge myself in arguing for the indefensible. Not to mention I am seeing much fatigue behind the eyes amongst many of the party incrowd at CC meetings. A night off given by the voters to some of these individuals would likely improve their performance at work. Hence a net benefit to "the cause." I don't get the impression that Hartline lives with stress, like most of us.

I took that a motion to throw him off would likely be taken to account. But it would need to be done after he has violates some bi-laws or there would be strong grounds that warrent impeachment of Mr. Hartline, that could be justified to the media if neccessary. But to do so "immediately after he's sworn in" would give the impression to the voters that the Republican party ignores and usurps the will of its own base.

Hey Case for Hartline for CC

I think Hartline is against bi-laws.

I don't think any of you even read the question that was given to us by the Family Voter guide on the gun issue. And you wouldn't have had the questionnaire if you weren't a candidate. If you had, then you would have noticed that a good portion of the Republican candidates answered the question in the same way I did. It merely says do you think that guns should be registered and that gun owners should have licensing. That is the current law. It has absolutely nothing to do with taking away 2nd Amendment Rights. You only destroy your own credibility when you don't pursue the truth and your don't convey truthful conclusions when reporting assumptions. I am always in purusit of the truth and I always report the truth. Those that are trying to hide the truth always pursue the idea of silencing me because they don't want the truth to be made known to our Republican followers. There is a reason that voters in my District are supporting me, both inside and outside of the Republican Party. In fact, I had more Democrats sign my nomination papers than I did Republicans. And that is because they know me and have watched me stand up for truth and the oppressed for many years. Those who are sequestered in their elite circles have become so disconnected from the vast majority of voters in our city that they have no idea what is really on the hearts and minds of our people. I walk and talk everyday with my fellow citizens in District 3 and they know me. And the constant message that I receive from most of the voters is that they are very appreciative of my efforts to stand up for them and their families against a very greedy few who are destroying our city, its morals and our rights. And I will just add one more thing: I and my team are on a long term mission that will not be completed for many years. This election is just one phase in a multi-phase war plan that is seeing us build a growing coalition. We are not moved by wins or losses in this election because this election is just one phase. And the real victory for us is the fact that we have added hundreds of new voters to our coalition. In 2010, we will be even stronger and even more effective in our action plan. And I have great confidence, peace of mind and courage, not because of the approval of man, but because God is on my side and grants me His approval and favor according to my willingness to obey His word and the assignment He has given me in this generation.

If you want to know about Hartline and his past, check out the following link to a City Beat story that exposes him.

http://www.sdcitybeat.com/cms/story/detail/?id=3628

Notice that throughout the article, he places blame for all his troubles on everyone else. Ironically he claims to have been intentionally infected with HIV in 1997 and he knowingly went to bathhouse in 2000. I find it hard to believe that he went to the bathhouse simply to do meth. Homosexuals use bathhouses to engage in sex and I would be a pretty penny that is why he went there. So I wonder if he knowingly infected someone?

Hartline has been diagnosed with anti-social personality disorder. According to the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual: "The essential feature for the diagnosis is a pervasive pattern of disregard for, and violation of, the rights of others that begins in childhood or early adolescence and continues into adulthood." So Hartline's actions should start making more sense. He has only been out of jail/prison for the last eight years and who knows if he still abuses drugs or not. More importantly, should be taking medication to deal with his psychological issues?

A few interesting tidbits from the article:

-- By 14, according to evaluations, Hartline started prostituting himself to older men in shopping-mall restrooms.

“I spent hours and hours waiting there to pick guys up,” he told a psychologist.

-- In a 1982 psychiatric report written shortly after Hartline returned to prison and attempted suicide, a doctor diagnosed him with an antisocial-personality disorder and severe depression. He also noted that Hartline “has no religious denomination but believes in God.”

-- In December 1997, released from lockup, Hartline, still suicidal, visited a bathhouse where he believes he was intentionally infected with HIV-a death sentence that in many ways has set him free.

-- On New Year's Eve 2000, Hartline and a friend went to see The Green Mile, a prison movie. Hartline left early and went to the bathhouse, where he embarked on a 10-day meth binge, which ended with him being sent back to jail on a parole violation for 60 days.

Oops, I forgot the most important part of the characteristics of anti-social personality disorder.

Deceit and manipulation are central features of this disorder.

So I suck at spelling and typing. I often see more "gotcha on spelling" responses immediately after a cogent posting rather than responses of "real intelectual substance." In all my years of watching political debates and pundants discussing issues on TV. I have never seen anybody correct their counterpart on their grammer in an attempt to act cute. There is probably a reason for that.

As for Mr. Hartline. Sir as the closest thing their is to an advocate for you on all blogs in red county. My motives have been stated above, and do not reflect my political views as having "ANYTHING" in common with yours. I would strongly advise you to make your points short, pithy and more engaging and conversational. Nobody reads long winded rants. Futhermore, one word of mouth from a trusted politically informed friend is worth more than 10000 from the candidate.

The case for Hartline for CC..I changed my mind. said:

Ok as much fun as I had coming up with a defense for Mr. Hartline. I recently changed my mind. The impact of him winning would be a net negative for the party in ways seen and unseen.

Part of my motives were based on having a former loved one who had severe bi-polar disorder. I felt the need to be an advocate to these "broken people" who society "throws away." The attacks on Mr. Hartline appeared as the typical elitist means spirited bullying by party oppertives who look down upon anybody who is different. I don't like bullies.

Mr. Hartlines rants on this blog demonstate that he may in fact be a danger to himself and others. Although my argument about party opperatives in needing more time off is sincere and comes from the heart. I could concievably see Mr. Hartline attempting to bite people he disagrees with at a party function. Henceforth he has no business in party functions or city politics. If however he is properly diagnosed medicated and attends therapy to the point where in time he may be a productive and successful member of society.

Then in time an individual who is capable of turning his life arround could be quite useful in a city whose finances need just that. Besides everybody loves a comeback. Furthermore did this party forgive the past "youthful disgressions" of noteworthy republican elected officials.

But in the meantime, I suspect that MIGHTY THOR is allowing Mr. Heartline to vent so that he does not become a problem somewhere else. If this is in fact the reason why he has not been banned. Than may I suggest that we all simply ignore Mr. Hartline, perhaps he will go away.

Here We Go said:

I see Mr. Hartline is now starting to reduce the expectations for his election night results:

-"And I will just add one more thing: I and my team are on a long term mission that will not be completed for many years. This election is just one phase in a multi-phase war plan that is seeing us build a growing coalition. We are not moved by wins or losses in this election because this election is just one phase. And the real victory for us is the fact that we have added hundreds of new voters to our coalition. In 2010, we will be even stronger and even more effective in our action plan."

"Hundreds" of voters? There will be tens of thousands of votes cast and he's talking about hundreds?

According to the City Clerk's office, he has $459 cash-on-hand as of 5/17, after having unleashed (spent) a whopping $2,921 in the past two months.

Where is that surge of support Mr. Hartline has been talking about?

What a joke. Oh, yes... "we are not moved by wins or losses", and "in 2010 we will be even stronger", etc, etc... Gimme a break.

Fact: Hartley will get more votes than Hartline.

I support Hartline and voted for him. I have known James for six years since he started going to Mission Valley Christian Fellowship. He has been an inspiration to many of us in our church and he definitely got many votes from others in our church. And our church isn't small, with 1,500 members. In reading the negative attacks against James on this website, I am reminded of the early Christians in the New Testament who were persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ. In the time that we have known James in our church, we have never seen him ever dishonor his commitment to Christ or the church. So, I would recommend that you take a serious look at who you are talking about. We are looking at these attacks against James as an attack against all of us in our church and we do not think very highly of what is being said about him.
