"California Congress of Republicans" Endorses Bob Watkins for Congress
(San Diego) - Bob Watkins continues to gain key endorsements today, as the California Congress of Republicans throws their support behind the San Diego County leader.
"Bob Watkins is a no nonsense conservative who will fight to cut government spending and balance the national budget," said Martin Bloxham, President of the California Congress of Republicans' San Diego chapter. "Bob Watkins will also fight against any attempt to raise taxes, and he'll work to end the pork-barrel earmark spending that has ballooned the federal budget. The bottom line is, our Republicans in Congress need to act like Republicans. That's why we're supporting Bob Watkins."
The California Congress of Republicans is a grassroots organization committed to furthering Republican principles, supporting the Republican Party, and electing strong leaders such as Watkins. Their support underscores the gaining momentum of the Watkins campaign just nine weeks before Election Day.
In the race for the open seat in the 52nd Congressional District, Watkins continues to rack up the endorsements. Coleman's support follows several key endorsements from influential leaders in San Diego County, including: San Diego County Sheriff Bill Kolender, Assemblywoman Shirley Horton, San Diego County Board of Supervisors Chairman Greg Cox, County Supervisor Ron Roberts, County Treasurer Dan McAllister, Chula Vista Mayor Cheryl Cox, and others.
Bob Watkins currently serves as the elected President of the San Diego County Board of Education. He is also the President of R.J. Watkins & Company, Ltd., a leading international executive recruiting firm with offices in San Diego, San Francisco and London.
Additionally, Bob Watkins is a board member and on the executive committee of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation (EDC). He is a founding member and trustee of the San Diego National Sports Foundation, and was instrumental in organizing and building the U.S. Olympic Training Center in San Diego.

So, the liberal/moderate-leaning CCR calls Bob a conservative? That gives us comfort in East County. Does CCR exist in East County?
You got that right. What an endorsement. The San Diego Chapter is even further to the left. The SD Chapter endorsed Ralph Denney in 06 depite the fact he is on record for kicking the Boy SCouts out of Balboa Park. Why? because they, get this, believe in God and forbid homosexuals from serving as a Scout Leaders. If it walks like a Democrat and talks like a Democrat....Guess What!

Yeah, like Craig or Foley? Wake me up is having a restful sleep while the party is having a nightmare.
“Wake me up…” is a tool.
He clearly doesn’t understand the importance of broadening our party to appeal to supporters of choice and those voters who understand the need to enhance revenue for essential government services like protecting our environment.
