UPDATE/EDITORS NOTE: I would just like to make it clear, if it wasn't by the title with a question mark, that this post was merely based off of what Assemblyman Adams said. Â Thus, it wasn't meant to imply that this was the truth; rather, questioning it...

According to Assemblyman Adams, that's what happened. Â He just happened to be one of the 3 Republicans who was either chosen/volunteered to be the sacrificial lamb to vote for the largest tax increases in California history. Â Talk about behind the scenes politicking...

Here's the interview, from the notorious "John and Ken Show": Â CLICK HERE TO LISTEN.

I have gotten so many messages from people furious about this. Our Republican state legislators voting for tax increases when we already pay the highest taxes and are losing businesses left and right in the midst of economic and financial woes is just astounding. Â I used to think it'd be a good idea for all members of the California State Legislature to be required to take a course on Economics 101. Â Now I am thinking we should require all of the Republicans to take a test on Conservatism 101 before any Republican organization or entity 1. endorses them 2. supports them financially and 3. votes for them in the primary. Â

We cannot, will not, and do not deserve to win offices if we cannot stay committed to our core values; both politically and philosophically speaking. Â This does not mean that every single Republican has to follow our handbook word for word. Â However, what this is suggesting, is that there are some core, foundational conservative premises from which everything else stems from. Â If we neglect to uphold the very basic truths that allow conservatism to be successful, thrive, and prove itself- Â we will continue to remain the minority party- both state and nationally speaking. Â
