In Pointless Meeting, SB Supes Channel SB Pietas

The scheduled special meeting of the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has just concluded. Little of note happened. The Board heard public comments at both the beginning and end of the meeting, and that was the most notable, if not really interesting, part of the meeting.
Allen Bartleman, a San Bernardino attorney, provided legal advice to the County, advising that they work toward recall rather than impeachment.
Perennial activist E.T. Snell appeared in one of what must be a closet-full of clown costumes, wearing a mask of Assessor Postmus' face, with his lips apparently holding a meth pipe.
Al Vogler and Sam Clauder appeared as well, providing their views on the situation.
Eventually, the Board directed County Counsel to present for consideration the findings of it's search for a special outside counsel at the next regular board meeting. This seems to be the only real result of the meeting.
Perhaps most notable were comments from Supervisors Biane and Mitzelfelt regarding the change they have seen in Bill Postmus in the past several years.

What we have seen in the past few years has not been the Bill Postmus that was elected County Supervisor in 2000, full of energy, youth, and excitement. This is not the Bill Postmus who racked up accomplishments during his time on the Board, who made the County GOP a powerful entity, who fought a campaign to remove corruption and protect taxpayers. This is not the Bill Postmus we voted for.
