I wanted to take a moment to post some information about one of the San Bernardino City Unified School District candidates.  Damon Alexander is a great guy and would definitely bring some welcome change to the status quo that permeates the horribly mismanaged district.

Mr. Damon Alexander believes that there is no other single concern more important to the future of our community, or even the nation, than how we nurture, care for and TEACH our children.

Mr. Alexander has severed as a volunteer in the SBCUSD through the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), School Site Council (Vice-Chairman), District Advisory Council Representative , PTA (2nd Vice President) and the Principal for a Day program.  Damon Alexander has also served as a Church Sunday School Teacher and Trustee Board Member.

If elected, as your next school board member, his focus will include these issues:
• Increase Student Graduation Rates
• Safe Schools
• District Spending Accountability
• Teacher Retention
• Greater Parent Participation
• Public/Corporate Relationship (Public and Private Sector Partnerships)

Damon Alexander believes that parents must help take responsibility for their child's education by working to promote the value of education with their children and to encourage good behavior and study skills.  In closing, Damon Alexander will work collaboratively with the administrators, teachers, parents, community and students to continue improve the San Bernardino City Unified School System.

Damon Alexander has been endorsed by the San Bernardino County Republican Party along with Ron Coats.
