Karl Rove Fundraiser Recap

On Friday night I attended the San Bernardino County Republican Party's fundraiser at Etiwanda Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, which featured special guest Karl Rove.
I have to admit the man is nothing like I thought he would be. I have always been a fan of Mr. Rove's, as are many Republicans. He is well-known as possessing a superior intellect and for being among the most political savvy individuals in the country.
Mr. Rove was an absolutely amazing speaker. He was funny, engaging, and down to
earth. He had some amazing stories to share with us about Senator McCain, Governor Palin, President Bush, and others. I think it's safe to say that the audience was thoroughly blown away by Mr. Rove's speech and presence. His personality, coupled with his first-rate insight, makes him one of the best political speakers I have ever heard.
The event was a huge success and the room was packed. There were many elected officials, business owners, and community leaders present: Congressman Jerry Lewis, Supervisor Paul Biane (and Vice-Chair of the SB GOP), Board of Equalization Member Bill Leonard, California Republican Party State Chairman Ron Nehring, Assemblyman Bill Emmerson, State Senator Bob Dutton, Assemblyman Adams, Supervisor Mitzelfelt, Red County contributor and GOP Assembly nominee Mayor Curt Hagman--and of course former State Sen. Jim Brulte, who spearheaded the event.
Great job to all of those involved; it was, truly, a great evening.

Dear Readers/Listeners:
Explain to me please how in the world elected government officials who have sworn an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, can publicly entertain a man who is flagrantly in contempt of a Congressional subpoena?
What message does that send to anyone paying attention to these matters? I indeed fine it exceedingly troubling. How can I continue to harbor faith in their leadership?
If a member of my family was summoned by a court of justice, in good conscience I would not harbor him if he were a fugitive. It would be illegal, not to mention ethically wrong.
There is no difference of opinion in this matter. These are the facts.
Our community has suspended sound judgment in this matter. What are you as a member of the media, charged to serve the public's best interest, going to do to bring intellectual inquiry into the forum of ideas?
