Just recieved this from Senator Dutton's office, enjoy:
SACRAMENTO - Senator Bob Dutton (R-Rancho Cucamonga), vice chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, offers the following reaction to the incentive package offered by the governor and state treasurer to Tesla Motors to build an electric car factory in California.
The new business is expected to bring 400 new jobs to the state.
"Even though I may not have offered these sorts incentives to just one business, I applaud the efforts of the governor and state treasurer to bring jobs to our state," Senator Dutton said. "We need more of this type of thinking that will help stimulate the economy and create jobs.
"While the agreement reached with Tesla Motors will cost the state millions to open their facility in California, Republicans have offered a series of proposals over the last several weeks that will benefit every employer of this state and won't cost the general fund any money.
"I welcome Tesla Motors and the 400 jobs they will bring to California. But we need to create incentives that will benefit the businesses we have here now so they can have every opportunity to grow. That, in turn, will expand the state's tax base through the creation of jobs."

Some of those proposals offered by Republicans in the past several weeks include:Fueling the state economy and easing the burdens on workers by creating workweek flexibility and lessening bureaucratic red tape. Streamlining government to maximize limited tax dollars. Ensuring more money goes to our classrooms and upholding voters' commitment to give 40 cents of every tax dollar to schools. Establishing a spending limit and new rainy day fund to end chronic deficits.
