RCSB Exclusive: Assemblyman Cook's Response to State Budget Woes

Posted by: Jessica Austin | 07/10/2008 11:27 PM

In response to the current budget crisis in CA, and with the Dems vowing to raise billions with new taxes- here is an exclusive response for Red County San Bernardino from the Assemblyman:

"I have to admit, I am frustrated we do not yet have a state budget this year.  We are already past the deadline for getting a budget completed on time, and yet the clock continues to tick.  Because there are so many essential services that everyday people depend upon, I am worried that this state may place those in peril the longer this delay plays out.  I would be the first legislator to volunteer a proposal to remain in Sacramento day-in and day-out until a reasonable, bi-partisan budget compromise is reached."
