Biane Offers Hiring Amendment
San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors Chairman Paul Biane wants to propose a charter amendment that would give supervisors final say on the hiring of any board staff members.

The Biane issue: Most, not all, BOS staff are hired via a contract that is taken before the Board and placed on consent. Either make all board staff cntracts go on the discussion calendar for individual vote or pull the item for discussion to vote on it...mission accomplished...no need for a charter amendment.
What is Biane afraid of? If he thinks Erwin will do harm to the Board, then let Derry's ethic commission handle it...
