San Bernardino County Assistant Assessor Adam Aleman has been arrested. The reason for the arrest has not yet been made public, but it was announced just hours before the publication of the County Grand Jury's annual report, widely expected to be critical of the Assessor's Office.

SAN BERNARDINO - Hours before the San Bernardino County Grand Jury was poised to release its report, the District Attorney confirmed the arrest of the county assessor's second in command.

Assistant Assessor Adam Aleman has been on paid leave pending the Grand Jury's investigation into the assessor's office, run by Bill Postmus. The grand jury report on the investigation will be released at 1 p.m.
