When it comes to the party affiliation of Governor Schwarzenegger's appointments it really is a crapshoot.  Yesterday, I got an email from the Governor's office on the latest round of appointments and once again, there was one Republican out of three appointees from SB. 

Congratulations to that lone Republican, Hesperia resident Erin Kirk.  She is the wife of Hesperia City Council Candidate Mark Kirk.

"Erin Kirk, 31, of Hesperia, has been appointed to the San Bernardino County Fair Board of Directors (28th District Agricultural Association).  Since 2001, she has served as an adjunct college professor for the department of music at various schools including Victor Valley College since 2004 and California State University, San Bernardino since 2001. Prior to that, Kirk was an elementary music teacher at Apple Valley Christian School from 2000 to 2001 and, in 2000, she worked as a teller/supervisor for Wells Fargo Bank in Whittier. She is a member of the Victor Valley Chapter of the California Republican Assembly and the Victor Valley Chapter of the Republican Women Federated.  This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no salary.  Kirk is a Republican."

 
"Eloisa Klementich, 37, of Apple Valley, has been appointed assistant deputy secretary for economic development for the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency...Klementich is a Democrat."

"Jeffrey Lundgren, 46, of Upland, has been appointed to the Commission on Peace Officer Standard and Training...Lundgren is registered decline-to-state."
