BOS 3 Flash: Imploding - Hansberger Dropped From Slate

Posted by: SB Veritas | 05/03/2008 10:56 PM

The Faith, Family, and Freedom Association has notified the Derry for Supervisor Campaign that the group has dropped incumbent Supervisor Dennis Hansberger from its slate for the June 2008 Primary Election. In doing so, the Association indicated that Hansberger's challenger, San Bernardino City Councilman Neil Derry will now appear.

Hansberger was removed due to issues surrounding his voting record.

SB Veritas, how come all of your posts seem to be so anti-Supervisor Dennis Hansberger? Your obvious bias is very clear to the readers that you have some sort of personal vendetta against the man...

Perhaps you should go blog for some left wing blog site; where objectivity and the facts don't matter.

You mean the left wing sites that approve the abortion pill like Hansberger?

This is halarious! I would think Hansberger would be gald that this shady faux slate had replaced him with Derry.

The Faith, Family, and Freedom Association is comprised of some of the biggest financers of fringe right wing causes in the state. They have no interest in Hansberger's voting record or the district he represents.

Don't let the warm fuzzy name fool you. Do your research on this organization before you think their endorsement matters.

Obviously Supervisor Hansberger thought it was important as he paid in advance for it!!!

That he has been dumped speaks volumes...

I can only assume that he was just looking for his name on another slate. Amazing.

Wow - that slate org is nothing but a bunch of big political financers. From the looks of it Derry just came in as high bidder.

I will add though, this is the most entertaining evening Red County has had in a long time.

Funny....as the slate is a set cost it would appear that someone lost the support of something. The Hansberger campaign is desperately seeking false legitimacy...either they want the slate or they don't. Obviously they wanted the slate or they wouldn't have fought to get it. Now that they have lost it, they claim they never wanted it in the first place. How Clintonesque.

So lets see... Neil Derry, living with a woman who he has a child with, but isn't married. Second marriage.

His Campaign Manager, Jim Erwin had an affair with Liz Sanchez:
"In 2006, a county attorney claimed Postmus meddled in the county's handling of a lawsuit filed against the county by a former employee. The employee, Elizabeth Sanchez, had represented the county in labor negotiations with the county's safety employees union but resigned after revealing she had become romantically involved with Jim Erwin, then head of the union. Erwin, a longtime friend of Postmus', now works in the Assessor's Office.

The county's attorney claimed Postmus undermined the county's case by pressing for a settlement with Sanchez."

Now that is family values for you.. eh?

The most entertaining part of all of this is Derry isn't even married... but yet on his mailers it's a picture of him with his "baby's momma" and his kid. Talk about false advertising- Derry had a child OUT OF WEDLOCK and then tries to fool the public into thinking that's his WIFE! Imagine how he would run our County!

Waaaahhhh! Waaaahhhh! Hansberger's whiny supporters are upset because they're losing. I wonder when they will start accusing Derry of killing babies in Desert Storm, selling drugs on the street corner, and causing the Old Fire for his own political gain?

Watch them really gear up the whining after Derry wins in June.

Wow and Even Better,

Your points are totally irrelevant. Ronald Reagan was divorced and served as America's greatest modern President.

I think voters will be much more concerned about the incumbent Supervisor's vote to give county funds to his then-girlfriend's mental health clinic and his vote in favor of public funding for abortions.

I ran the winning campaign against Supervisor Jon Mikels and it's looking more and more like Mr. Hansberger will be following Mikels into political retirement.

Let's see Hansberger is on his 4th or 5th wife? Hmmmmm...does a marriage certificate make it alright? I have serious trust issues with a man married 4 or 5 times...can't make up his mind? can't get it right? doesn't he know he can date? doens't take vowes serious? Where is HIS commitment to family and I also question his commitment to the County?

Josh said:

You guys criticize Derry! You must be kidding me.

Hansberger falls all over himself giving his girlfriend $18 million!!!!

If he put half of the effort into getting dollars for his district residents as he did his sweetheart, he wouldn't be getting the boot next month.

This is an especially funny discussion on this blog in particular as at least these two guys are involved with women.
