BOS 3 Update: California Republican Assembly Endorses Derry
Posted by: SB Veritas | 04/26/2008 11:00 AM
The San Bernardino Valley Chapter of the grass roots California Republican Assembly (CRA) voted Thursday evening to endorse San Bernardino City Councilman Neil Derry in his bid to unseat incumbent County Supervisor Dennis Hansberger. The election, set for June 3, is for representation of the Third Supervisorial District.
Both Derry and Hansberger addressed the CRA group prior to discussion and paper ballot vote.
The CRA, founded in 1934 by Ed Shattuck and Robert Craig is a grass roots organziation representing the conservative wing of the Republican Party. The CRA was a cornerstone to the ascenison of Ronald Reagan who called the CRA "the conscience of the Republican Party".

SB Veritas:
This entire post is incorrect. First off, your title is misleading by making it seem as though the entire CRA endorsed Derry, when in reality, it is only one club within the CRA. Secondly, you did not even get the name of that ONE club right! It is the San Bernardino Valley Republican Assembly- not whatever you mentioned.
Get your facts straight before posting. Thank you.
Actually, there is nothing misleading about it. The San Bernardino Valley Republican Assembly changed their name just last year. Unfortunately the San Bernardino County republican Central Committee hasn't updated their website. (And Postmus is still Chairman according to the state GOP website).
With that said, the endorsement of Derry by the San Bernardino Valley Republican Assembly has been certified by the State CRA and is therefore the official endorsement of CRA.
Nice try, whoever "Editor" is.
FYI: Unlike the County Party that is broke, CRA has a slate that Derry will be listed on. As usual, the Hansberger spin machine is on rinse cycle.
Advantage SB Veritas. "Editor" gets humiliated. Therapy is in order.
The Hansberger people still don't get it! Their misstatements and re-direction of facts are not going to work this time around. The truth is getting out and in a big way!
Actually "The Judge", SB Veritas blog was incorrect and he has obviously fixed it... FYI... if you couldn't tell from the fact that he changed the name of the organization to what the Editor put.
