This came over the transom the other day from Larry Dick for Assembly:

Larry Dick Applauds Federal Government Decision To Bypass Environmental Regulations To Build Border Fence.
Building the fence is Job One

Thumbnail image for dick_01.jpg(Orange) Sixtieth Assembly Candidate Larry Dick applauds Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff's decision to bypass environmental laws to build hundreds of miles of border fence along the US/Mexico border.

Chertoff pointed to a congressional requirement that 361 miles of fence be completed by the end of the year. Congress gave him the authority to bypass the normal procedures in order to complete the fence. This is the fourth set of waivers issued.

"After my investigation at the border I was left with the clear conviction that, Job One, is to secure our border and that can be accomplished by interdiction by trained law enforcement to patrol the border," said conservative Larry Dick.

Once again the Sierra Club, has prioritized trees over the sovereignty of our borders, to the point of asking the Supreme Court to rule against the waiver.

Back in February, Larry Dick accompanied a legislative delegation inspection of the border in order to provide solutions for the flooding of illegal immigration. His proposed solutions earned him the endorsement of the author of the California Border Patrol Initiative, former Senator Ray Haynes.
