Assemblyman Bill Maze Joins Nanny State

It's Official! Another so-called "Conservative" Legislator joins the Nanny State.

Bill Maze represents portions of a District that stretches from Tulare County to San Bernardino County. It is quite conservative, but apparently a serious problem faces the residents of the district and all of California.

Some people drive with pets in their laps.
I have to admit that the closest I've come to that is driving with a 7-11 Hotdog and Big Gulp. But that is beside the point.

We all have seen people that are dangerous driving around. Some read newspapers, some eat, some are jamming to their favorite tunes, some put on make up etc....

Why is driving with pet (DWP) worse than when someone who turns around to discipline their brats in the backseat even though they are forcibly strapped into their government approved child safety seats?

Arnold has already banned cell phones. Now this newest pet peeve comes long. When will it stop? Can my wife tick me off by asking if we are lost while in the car. Please stop that Assemblyman Maze!

I know the Assemblyman will use the line that this will save lives and all that. But can't a cop pull someone over right now for reckless driving for having a dog's butt in his face will driving. If a cop sees something that is truly dangerous they can do something about it. Governor, Bill Maze or not.

So Assemblyman Maze and other Republicans that are part of the Nanny State. Stop being lap dogs for the Nanny State. Stop trying to add laws when are none are needed.

Besides Bill Maze has other important bills to pass forcing physician assistants to take more classes and don't forget the one on space travel.
