2008 Presidential Campaign Watch: Legendary Game Show Host Pat Sajak Picks Fr*d D*lton Thompson

Posted by: SB Insider | 12/27/2007 11:34 PM

Quick note on Campaign 2008:

Legendary television game show host Pat Sajak announced his pick for president: former US Senator Fred Dalton Thompson of Tennessee. Sajak, the smug and snarky host of the long-running insipid - yet popular - TV program Wheel Of Fortune, announced decison sometime in November.

In endorsing Thomspon, a former Washington politician and motion picture character actor, Pat Sajak stated "If any group of citizens is uniquely unqualified to tell someone else how to vote, it's those of us who live in the sheltered, privileged arena of celebrityhood." Despite his esteemed status among Hollywood icons, S*j*k, who is also a former weatherman for Los Angeles-area television stations, also said Thompson's decision to announce his candidacy on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno was a key factor in securing the game show host's coveted endorsement.

Political observers (okay, just the SB Insider) suggest It is highly likely Pat Sajak endorsement will improve Thompson's fortunes (Get it, fortunes?) as he heads into crucial election contests in Iowa and New Hampshire. How Fred Dalton Thompson's rivals for the GOP presidential nomination will react to this stunning and significant development remains unclear, but it is obvious that this is an amazing endorsement for the retired federal lawmaker.

Now, if only Thompson could afford to purchase televison air time to boast of Pat Sajak's support...

I'm not even going to post on how silly this piece is... I have a bigger bitch to pitch.

WTF IS UP WITH THIS SITE???

Why am I having to troll through every stinking blog from every RedCounty blogger to find my San Bernardino bloggers???? What happened to our old site? I've really had it with being merged into every RedCounty's news and information update posted. If I want to read about Placer or San Diego or OC then I will go to their sites.

Fix this, please? k thx.

SB Insider, I noticed you tagged me in this post about Pat Sajak and Sen. Fred Thompson. Also, that in attempting to be funny you show that you're not a Thompson fan -- we get that. But did you know that Pat Sajak has been on the Claremont Institute's board of directors and that he has a very deep understanding of the founding principles of America? In addition, Sajak is a combat veteran of the Vietnam War.

That said, even Sajak plays down the importance of celebrity endorsements. I've heard Sajak himself say that most celebrities are fools when it comes to politics and public policy.

All the best,

Count me in the group that thinks the new structure of the Red County blogs sucks.

With that said, the following url should take you to the Red County San Bernardino blog and allow you to skip or bypass the other blogs:
