2008 Presidential Campaign Watch: Pollster Zogby Says Romney, Clinton Lead Iowa

A new round of polling in the early-voting states of Iowa and New Hampshire by respected pollster Zogby International show that former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has regained the lead among Iowa Republicans and US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York once again is the top choice of Iowa Democrats.
Furthermore, Zogby is reporting that - as numerous other surveys indicate - both Romney and Clinton have solid advantages over their intra-party rivals among likely New Hampshire presidential primary voters.
Iowa and New Hampshire are the first two states to vote on a partisan presidential nominee.

Iowa
- Among Democrats, Clinton 27%, Obama 24%, Edwards 21%, Richardson 8%
- Among Republicans, Romney 26%, Huckabee 25%, Giuliani 12%, Thompson 8%
New Hampshire
- Among Democrats, Clinton 32%, Obama 21%, Edwards 16%, Richardson 6%
- Among Republicans, Romney 35%, McCain 17%, Giuliani 15%, Huckabee 10%, Paul 7%
Note: This is yet another poll demonstrating a complete meltdown for Fred Dalton Thompson in New Hampshire.
