2008 Presidential Campaign Watch: Romney Maintains Lead In New Hampshire

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney continues to be the top choice of likely New Hampshire Republican Party presidential primary voters. In a recently published independent survey conducted by Fox News/Opinion Dynamics, Mitt Romney, the immediate past governor of neighbouring Massachusetts, has a strong 8-point lead over his closest challenger.
Several polls have shown similar results of a solid Romney advantage among Granite State voters.
Here are the results of the Fox News survey:
Romney: 29%
US Senator John McCain of Arizona: 21%
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani: 19%
Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee: 7%
Congressman Ron Paul of Texas: 4%
Former US Senator Fred Dalton Thompson of New Hampshire: 4%
New Hampshire's GOP presidential primary is January 8.
