Prominent Rudy Giuliani Supporter: Who Cares About The Inland Empire, Anyway?

Posted late yesterday on public affairs website Flashreport is an opinion offered by Orange County lawyer Jim Lacy, in which the self-admitted Rudy Giuliani for President supporter attempts to diminish the importance of the support given to fellow GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney by dozens of California leaders throughout the state's vast regions.
In his criticism of Romney's swelling ranks of supporters, the Orange County attorney questions the political value of yesterday's announcement from the Romney campaign, which, amomg other endorsements, detailed Romney's key Inland Empire supporters. Jim Lacy states on his aforementioned opinion piece "I mentioned earlier tonight in a comment to Adam Probolsky's post on OC Blog that Rudy Giuliani is kicking butt nationally and in California for the Republican nomination for president despite some of Romney's endorsements in places like Moreno Valley."
Moreno Valley is a conservative and growing family-friendly city just over the San Bernardino county line in Riverside County. Part of the region known as California's Inland Empire, it is unclear exactly what Jim Lacy really means by "in places like Moreno Valley," but the inference is obvious (us stoopid simpletons out here in the 909 and 951 are not as hip, cool, sexy, wealthy, or as intelligent as those well-to-do denizens on the coast) and it is further proof that Rudy Giuliani's metropolitan-based campaign has written off our region and instead is focusing on areas deemed more "desirable" by the liberal elite, such as the far more glamorous and beautiful part of the universe known as "The OC."
Indeed, as Red County San Bernardino covered here weeks ago, Rudy Giuliani has devoted just one campaign leader to manage whatever volunteers the liberal ex-mayor can muster in his bid to defeat genuine conservative challengers for the Republican Party nomination.
As for me, maybe after all I will support Rudy Giuliani. As a resident of the Inland Empire, I just hope somebody - somebody, please - will finally provide our desolate region with electricity and indoor plumbing. And maybe one of those nice new rotary telephones I have been hearing so much about over the RCA radio might be nice, too.

Well, I sense a sort of panic in the Rudy campaign. Romney is starting to pick up steam everywhere and is going to run away from the rest of the field. Even us poor folks from the valley of the dirt people can see it coming.....
I thought Jim Lacy was a Ron Paul guy
