2008 Presidential Campaign Watch: Mike Huckabee Leads Iowa

A stunning new independent poll from Iowa shows former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee leading among likely Hawkeye State Republican Party presidential nomination caucus participants. Huckabee leads his closest challenger by three points in Iowa, site of the nation's first nomination contest.
Key finding: Huckabee now gets 48% of the Evangelical Christian vote -- more than all the other candidates combined.
The survey was conducted by Rasmussen Reports.

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani: 12%
Former US Senator Fred Dalton Thompson of Tennessee: 11%
Congressman Ron Paul of Texas: 5%
