2008 Presidential Campaign Watch: Two Polls Show Giuliani Ahead In Florida

Two new independent surveys show former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani with a lead over the field of candidates for the Republican Party nomination for President among Florida voters. The two different polls yield disparate results, however, on candidates jockeying for second place.
One poll was conducted by CNN/Opinion Research. The other survey was completed by Insider Advantage.
Here are the results of the CNN/Opinion Research survey:
Giuliani: 38%
Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney: 17%
US Senator John McCain of Arizona: 13%
Former US Senator Fred Dalton Thompson of Tennessee: 13%
Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee: 9%
Insider Advantage reports:
Giuliani: 26%
Huckabee: 17%
McCain: 13%
Romney: 12%
Thompson: 9%
The CNN poll, involving telephone interviews with 300 voters likely Florida Republican presidential primary voters, was conducted November 25-26. The poll's margin of sampling error was plus-or-minus 5.5 percentage points.
+/- 3.8 %, 675 Republicans for Insider Advantage.
