Contrary to this early-morning post, according to the registrar's office at 9am this morning there are over 6,000 ballots left to count: 5,200 absentees and 1,200 provisionals.
That's countywide, so no idea how many are in any given jurisdiction.
I've just contacted the Registrar's office myself, and they state that they have no information pertaining to the number of ballots remaining to be counted.
However, your numbers of 1,200 provisional ballots and 5,200 absentees seem very suspect. The total vote count so far is only 21,000, and that is supposed to be a near-final number according to the Registrar officials I've spoken with.
I find it doubtful that a a full 25% of the ballots in this election not only remain to be counted, but are "unusual" in some way, and thus not counted with the normal ballots.
