State Senator Bob Dutton (SD 31) has published a media release on assistance for home and business owners affected by this week's firestorm in Southern California.
Here is Senator Dutton's media release:
Sen. Bob Dutton (R-Rancho Cucamonga) has announced that state and local officials are offering assistance to small businesses affected by the wildfires that have scorched hundreds of thousands of acres throughout Southern California.
According to Michael J. Gonzalez, deputy to the Small Business Advocate for Governor Schwarzenegger, a list of city, state and federal resources for small businesses has been posted on the Small Business Advocate website at www.sbca.ga.gov.
"We know that many businesses in Southern California, including those located in the San Bernardino Mountain area, have been adversely affected by these fires," said Senator Dutton. "The information on the Small Business Advocate website can help those small businesses get back in business as soon as possible."
Also, for those homeowners affected by the fires, websites have been set up to get residents started in receiving tax relief. Those websites include:
• San Bernardino County Damaged Property Claim Form (www.co.san-bernardino.ca.us)
• San Bernardino County Tax Deferral Form (www.co.san-bernardino.ca.us)
• San Bernardino County Tax Relief Info (www.mytaxcollector.com)
