San Bernardino Sun Newspaper Launches New Blog

No, we are not referring to the popular San Bernardino Sun weblog SB Now that is manned by award-winning reporter Robert Rogers. The Sun has now launched a second blog that will be managed by longtime staff reporter Andrew Edwards.
The Sun's new blog venture is called Red Words and can be found here. As SB Now covers all things related to the city of San Bernardino, Red Words will provide extensive coverage on news and events from the city of Redlands.
Here is how Edwards announced the inauguration of the new weblog, which was unveiled yesterday afternoon:
I'll get Red Words started by introducing myself. I'm Andrew Edwards, and I've covered Redlands for The Sun since March. For the past six months I've divided my time between Redlands and other East Valley cities but beginning this week my sole focus will be Redlands. I started working for The Sun in January 2005 and covered Highland and the local mountain communities during my first year on the job.
Before coming to The 909, I worked in Orange County for three Tribune Co. newspapers, the Daily Pilot (Costa Mesa and Newport Beach), The Huntington Beach Independent and Laguna Beach Coastline Pilot. I graduated from UCLA with degrees in political science and history in 2003. UCLA doesn't have a journalism school, but I spent my last year at college covering the University of California Board of Regents for the Daily Bruin.
I want to stress that this blog won't be about me - it's about Redlands.
When Red County San Bernardino was unveiled six months ago, we were the first blog based in San Bernardino County to offer opinion, provide news, and issue campaign updates. Since our own launch last April, county Democrats have unveiled BlueCounty.net and the county's leading daily newspaper now includes regularly-updated blogs in addition to their traditional formats for news.
As the world wide web continues to gain in popularity among all demographic groups, the various internet newsblogs are an increasing source of information for residents.
Welcome to the blogosphere Andrew and Red Words.
