Congressman David Dreier has announced the deadline for consideration to be admitted into the prestigious United States Naval Academy.

Here is the announcement from Congressman Dreier's office:

Young men and women interested in attending a United States Service Academy beginning in July 2008 have until Friday, November 9, 2007 to submit their applications for a nomination to Congressman David Dreier's San Dimas office.

To be considered for admission to the U.S. Air Force, Military, Naval, or Merchant Marine Academy, a student must first obtain a nomination from their local Congressman.

To be nominated by Congressman Dreier, an applicant must be between the ages of 17 and 23, a United States citizen, a resident of Congressman Dreier's district, and a high school graduate by July 1, 2008.

Congressman Dreier's district includes the following communities: Arcadia, Bradbury, Charter Oak, Claremont, Glendora, La Canada Flintridge, La Crescenta, La Verne, Monrovia, Montclair, Montrose, Rancho Cucamonga, San Antonio Heights, San Dimas, San Marino, Sierra Madre, Upland, Walnut, Wrightwood, and portions of Altadena, Pasadena and San Gabriel.
