Congratulations - You Did It!

I just wanted to write a quick "Thank You" to Red County San Bernardino readership - you have helped our little site attract nearly 6,000 visits a day. When I, along with the talented roster of contributing authors, began this venture nearly six months ago, I never could have imagined how popular and influential this site would become in such a short amount of time. Thank you for helping this site become what it is.
In the past six months, Red County San Bernardino has reported several breaking news stories, offered sharp commentary from members of our "blogpen," initiated critical discussions on the state of intra-party politics and media, as well as published numerous media releases from federal, state and local newsmakers. Plus, our contributors work around the clock to report on the most current news of the 2008 presidential campaign to our visitors.
Red County San Bernardino has been attributed as a source by traditional media as well on multiple occasions. For instance, when popular county Republican leader Mark Kirk announced his decision on standing as a candidate for the 2008 First District Supervisorial race, it was this site that broke the news, which would later be reported by leading area daily newspapers (with full attribution to RCSB). Leading newspapers from across California turned to this site in late June, when the mini-scandal concerning the hiring practices of California Republican Party Chair Ron Nehring were exposed - thanks in part to continuing reporting on Red County San Bernardino.
Love him or hate him, Red County San Bernardino contributing author Joseph Turner's razor-sharp and eye-opening commentary and think-pieces have sparked discussion in area political circles, namely his reporting on San Bernardino Mayor Morris' chief-of-staff's salary arrangement and the controversial appointment of Redlands City Manager Nabar Enrique Martinez. Recently, Turner's op-eds on unfolding developments on the San Bernardino City Attorney's office have sparked coverage in top local newspapers on possible questionable actions in that office.
As we approach our six-month anniversary, please continue to turn to Red County San Bernardino for coverage of public affairs in our county from an insider's perspective, and sometimes directly from the newsmakers themselves, totally unfiltered.
Thanks again for helping us grow to be the premier on-line source for public policy, politics and news affecting San Bernardino County.
