The Daily Lambert Strikes Again

The Daily Lambert struck again over the weekend.
When we talk of bias in the media, many think of liberal versus conservative slant in language and so forth. Others might think of how bias impacts the stories they print altogether. But, there is another form of bias that was clearly evident in the San Bernardino Sun this weekend.
Buried on the front page of Saturday's local section, beneath the voluminous Harry Potter coverage, was an article reporting that crime was up during the first half of the year in the City of San Berbaghdad.
Whenever there is good news...er...manufactured news about the crime rate supposedly going down, we are treated to prominent front page coverage by The Daily Lambert. The Sun will slobber all over itself with FRONT PAGE editorials, litter the editorial pages with glowing comments on behalf of Mayor Morris and Operation Phoenix, magnificent reports of supposed crime rates plummeting, etc.
When there is supposedly good news, Mayor Morris sends over a memo and Lambert slaps it into the paper.
However, when crime is up and it contradicts everything your paper has been saying for months, you cannot simply ignore it. You have to suck it up and print it.
So, what do you do?
You bury it in the Saturday paper that no one reads on the lower half of the front page. Smooth.
Lambert can bury the coverage, but as long as mothers continue to bury their children, the truth will get out.
