The San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters finally purged its voter rolls and the county lost roughly 50,000 "voters" and now stands with a county registration of 701,456.
Here is a registration tally for the 2006 Gubernatorial election: 751,652
Here is the registration tally as of today: 701,456
Although Republicans lost slightly more "raw voters" than the Democrats, the percentage of Republican voters versus Democratic voters increased. Republicans saw their percentage share of the population decline .049%, or 42.405% to 42.356%. Democrats lost .167% and with registration slipping from 37.585% to 37.418%.
The biggest benefactor was the Decline to State population which rose from 16.14% to 16.49%, even though their raw voter count declined as well.
In coming days, assuming others in the blogpen do not get to it first, I will take a look at some of the individual cities and districts to see if any notable patterns emerge.
