Palmdale City Councilman and State Assembly Candidate Steve Knight announces additional endorsements. With the district split between San Bernardino and Los Angeles Counties, it is significant that Knight has attracted strong support in both counties.

Today Palmdale City Councilman Steve Knight announced the support of Victorville Mayor Terry Caldwell, and Council Members Bob Hunter and Mike Rothschild for his candidacy for the 36th Assembly District. “Steve Knight shares our values and understands the needs of communities throughout the 36th Assembly District,†said Victorville City Councilman Mike Rothschild. “He is a man of solid integrity who will be a respected voice in the State Legislature."
“It is an honor and a privilege to have the support of so many distinguished community leaders,†said Steve Knight. “When I announced my candidacy in February, I made the promise that my campaign would always be about representing the values of communities throughout our district. It is an honor to be trusted by so many local leaders to deliver on that promise.â€
Knight adds the three Victorville City Council Members to the growing list of supporters that includes Congressman Kevin McCarthy, Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich, Senator George Runner, Assemblywoman Sharon Runner, Palmdale Mayor Pro-Temp Mike Dispenza, Palmdale City Councilman Tom Lackey, and the unanimous support of the Lancaster City Council.
Steve Knight is running to replace Assemblywoman Sharon Runner for the 36th Assembly District. The district includes the major cities of Palmdale, Lancaster, and Victorville. Assemblywoman Runner is prohibited from seeking re-election due to term limits.
In addition to being a Palmdale City Councilman, Knight is a Los Angeles Police Officer with more than 16 years of service. He lives in Palmdale with his wife and two sons.
