2008 Presidential Campaign Watch: Fred Thompson - An Enemy Within?

The recent addition of Spencer Abraham by Team Thompson is drawing continued criticism.
Debbie Schlussel writes:
Although Abraham, of Lebanese descent, is a Christian, he is a career water carrier for Islamists of the most extremist stripe and made that the cornerstone of his failed, one-term Senate career and equally lousy tenure as Energy Secretary.
IF you believe this is a gross exaggeration or hyperbole on her part, you must read her entry and article detailing how she arrived at this assessment.
Spencer Abraham "took campaign contributions from the relatives of Hezbollah-backed top Lebanese officials after he got the group millions in our tax money."
Spencer Abraham "was one of only two Senators in the entire U.S. Senate who refused to sign a letter calling on President Clinton to condemn Palestinian terrorism and Yasser Arafat."
And the list goes on...
Combined with earlier criticisms over Abraham's support for illegal immigration and open borders, one wonders how Fred Thompson will respond.
This is why many sports ban the use of performance enhancing drugs. Another form of doping is blood...

There are so many jihadist Federal Society members employed at the Hoover Institute these days...tough to monitor what they do each day.
But one quick question: why didn't Schlussel bring this up when Pres. Bush made him energy secretary? Things that make you go hmmmmm.....

Not sure what the exact reason is with respect to your specific question. However, according to her post, she did broach this subject in some form all the way back in 2003.
