Staffer Spotlight - Robert Eland

I am pleased to introduce San Bernardino First District County Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt's District Director Robert Eland as the Staffer of the Week. Robert Eland is an asset to the constituents of the First District, where he is part of a tremendous team of people working non-stop for the communities of California's High Desert communities.
Robert Eland - and he is "Woody" to his many friends - entered a life of public policy and political advocacy soon after his graduation from Cal State Fullerton. First working for the California Republican Party in voter registration outreach, Eland helped register countless new voters and explained the importance of voter participation, especially among young citizens. Eland's commitment to full voter participation made him an ideal candidate to execute such an important program, and Eland excelled in adding several new Republicans to voter registration rolls in Southern California.
In 2005, Robert Eland was tapped to serve as the San Bernardino County Republican Party's political director, where he energized hundreds of volunteers to work on behalf of the Governor's reform proposals for California and the successful campaigns of Paul Leon for mayor of Ontario.
Last year, Woody continued his tremendous service to county Republicans by motivating a core group of activists to support our entire GOP team by organizing precinct walks, phone banks, yard sign placement, and coordinating rallies - many of which were announced at the last minute. Through it all, Robert Eland succeeded and his leadership on these nuts-and-bolts tasks is exactly why our county party is the dominant political party.
Today, Robert can be found serving San Bernardino County's popular First District Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt in a top staff level capacity. Serving both his boss and the constituents of the First District, Robert Eland displays a sharp policy acumen and an understanding that the citizens are priority one. Eland is part of an outstanding team of public servants for the First District.
Congrats Woody. You are the Staffer of the Week.
