Assemblyman Bob Huff has a very important Senate Campaign coming up in 2008, in a race to replace Senator Bob Margett. Leadership within an elected members district office is not only important but critical. That is why Bob is so lucky to have this weeks staffer of the week, Jen Vitela, as his District Director. (for full disclosure, Jen is a Trojan, where she got her BA, so it is even easier to write glowing things about her!)

Her first job in politics was working for the California Republican Party in the Communications Department. Prior to joining Team Huff, Jen worked for Assemblyman Tony Strickland and Assemblywoman Audra Strickland, serving as their Capitol Director.

An at large board member of the California Republican Lawyers Association, she has assisted in serving as a member of the 72 Hour Legal Team for the last two Presidential Candidates.

Jen remembers her roots as a Republican volunteer (she was named in 1999 as Orange Counties Republican Volunteer of the year), and continues to volunteer as Rudy's Newport Beach Campaign Chair and writing the newsletter for the Huntington Harbor Republican Women Federated.

She also has her JD, and for fun travels around the country watching Trojan football!
