Breaking news late today from reporter Mitch Deacon of the Victor Valley Daily Press: Officials at radio station KIXW AM 960 have relieved incendiary talk radio host Barb Stanton of her broadcasting duties and have terminiated her self-titled radio program, which had aired weekdays from noon until 3 PM.
Stanton's dismissal came as a result of an on-air racial epithet-laden tirade the talker unleashed against Americans of Asian heritage on a live broadcast less than two weeks ago. Initially, media reports suggested that management suspended the volatile talker, but apparently the extensive community outrage at the level of Stanton's insensitivity was too much for her to overcome and now come news that Stanton has, in fact, been fired.
