GOP COUNTY CHAIRMAN: Bring Red County to Your County
By Scott W. Graves | 05/30/08 | 04:17 PM EDT | 0 Comments
What is Red County Local Edition?
Red County Local Edition is a digital version of Red County magazine, but localized with content important to your Republican community. We wrap your localized editorial content with high quality center-right political content from writers like Hugh Hewitt, Michael Medved, Victor Davis Hanson, and Dennis Prager.
Your local digital edition is tailored to your community and distributed to your e-mail list of donors, business leaders, community activists, volunteers, elected officials, local media, and supporters.
Red County is looking to develop partnerships with well-organized conservative organizations such as yours. For additional information about bringing Red County Local Edition to your community, please contact Argie Frudakis at argie@redcounty.com.
How does it work?
Red County will allocate the COVER and a block of up to twelve interior pages of content for your local organization. You determine the content and the images. Some of the pages could be used by you for display advertising. These pages could promote upcoming fundraisers, highlight a slate of endorsed candidates, or promote the interests of donors who help offset the costs of production. You have complete editorial control over the localized section of each issue.
Red County will combine your editorial content with editorial contributions from well known conservative thinkers like Hugh Hewitt, Michael Medved, James Lileks, and others. Our graphic designers will produce a highly polished, professional magazine for online distribution (email) to your community of supporters. We will host the online magazine and distribute to your email list and beyond.
We will also design and develop a website landing page that includes space for your most recent digital edition, any additional editorial content, and space for at least one online display advertisement. The advertisement space can be used, sold, or allocated at the discretion of GOP ORGANIZATION to offset costs or generate revenue.
In addition, any basic contact information and data collected via forms located on the localized website landing page, will be forwarded to GOP ORGANIZATION.
For us, the goal of a partnership is to advance conservative values at the local level with a new media communications tool that is far more effective than the typical newsletter and far less expensive than traditional mail. Along the way, we are interested in promoting the Red County brand beyond our local community and build upon our reputation for engaging in high quality, thoughtful, and responsible political journalism.
What are the costs?
We will absorb costs associated with our writers' fees, production, and hosting. Your community will contribute $1,900 for each edition, to offset the design and layout costs of the localized section. Since such costs are nominal, they can effectively be offset by traditional political fundraising efforts and display advertising in both the magazine and online.
About Red County
In 2006, Red County was founded in Orange County, California by Republican activists who were dissatisfied with the mainstream media's local coverage of local issues. It began as a high quality bi-monthly print magazine and quickly found its way online in the highly charged political blogosphere. In early 2008, Red County magazine published its first digital edition, combining the visual appeal of print with the dynamic interaction of online.
Today, we continue to grow and embrace new opportunities to promote Republican values in print, online, and on film. The print magazine continues to be published for Orange County Republicans. The Red County network of political blogs has been expanded to twelve and is enjoying exponent growth in visitor traffic. The digital local editions are ready to be launched. And we are involved in forthcoming film projects for the big screen that promote center-right, pro-America values.
We hope you will join with us in our efforts to advance the causes of limited government, lower taxes, greater freedom, and traditional family values.
