Capitol Weekly is reporting that Sam Blakeslee will replace Mike Villines as Assembly Republican Leader.
Like Capitol Weekly, The Sacramento Bee is also reporting that Mike Villines will step down as Assembly Republican Leader, but they do not name the successor.

Blakeslee is Villines handpicked successor after Villines knew that he was out as leader. He used what little clout he had remaining to get his own guy as the next leader.
I just posted... but I can not tell if all these leaks are a drill for or against Blakeslee.
