Sacramento, the Capitol... of sex trafficking??

When one hears of underage sex trafficking, usually people think of foreign countries such as Cambodia; however, it happens right here in the united States. Estimates range from 200,000 to 800,000 children that are being exploited each year in the United States, and Sacramento is a hot bed. The average age of victims is 14 years old with some as young as 10. See link here.
Let's be honesty, liberals have given us this. Liberals try to justify perverted behavior and they excuse the pervert-- "we just need to understand them". Liberal State Senators and Assemblymen pass laws that promote and lead to these types of bizarre activities. When liberals finally figure out there is a problem, their answer is to raise taxes and create another government program. Invariably this makes the problem worse.
Courage House (link here) is a private organization that rescues these children and helps them put their life in order.
Tonight. Friday, October 23, at Adventure Christian Church, 6401 Stanford Ranch Road, Roseville, Courage House is having a benefit concert. An FBI agent will tell of the problem, a mother from El Dorado Hills will give personal testimony of her daughter. I can personally tell you- as I am in the backup choir and we had practices- the music will tug at your heart. Please consider attending.

October 23, 2009. 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. Join us for a Free Benefit Concert and Sex Trafficking of Children Awareness Night. Presentations will be made by the FBI, by International Justice Mission (IJM) and a mom whose daughter was trafficked from El Dorado Hills, California to the Bay Area. The three presenters will speak to the scope and horror of the global and local problem of sex trafficking in children.
The evening will include live performances by musicians who donated and wrote songs for the Believe in Me Benefit CD Project. There will also be a showing of the music video “Believe in Me’. Due to the violence these children suffer and its portrayal in the music video, we do not recommend children under 13 years of age viewing it without parents input/supervision.
Because of the content of the evening’s presentations we do not recommend children under 13 attending.
CDs, DVDs and C2BU merchandise will be available for a donations.

Democrats favor open borders through which smuggling occurrs
Democrats favor lenient sentences and alternative sentencing making crime more attractive
Democrats oppose funding private charities in favor of government programs, making it difficult for organizations like these to raise money.
I am sure Ken has some specifics for you - but the above are a good circumstantial case...

When Ken puts something in quotes, English language grammer and syntax expects that this is a direct quote from a documented primary source.

|Ken Campbell gave a lot of money to John Doolittle over the years - all the way up to the spring of 2007. Shortly thereafter he had an epiphany that Republicans would lose the 2008 race in CA-04 if Doolittle ran. So he tossed Doolittle under the bus (to use a favorite Sgt. York phrase) in an Auburn Journal OpEd in the summer of 2007.
But Campbell gave money to Doolittle even after a clear connection was established between Doolittle and government officials in the Marianas (CNMI) who were deliberately turning a blind eye on child prostitution and sex slavery. His good work was all in the name of low wages and the CNMI economy, the Doo has said. Doolittle is still under a federal cloud for his connections to Abramoff, and for other shady deals.

The Marianas story broke way before Ken stopped giving money to Doolittle. Here's just one item of many pieces of this sordid story, an item which clearly shows Doolittle's ties to the Marianas with Jack Abramoff. In an e-mail to a government official in Saipan (part of the Marianas), Abramoff called Doolittle "a hero" for his work supporting the CNMI government's effort to maintain wages well below U.S. standards which in turn gave them a favorable cost position for exports using labor imported from China and other countries. What was up in the Marianas? What was Doolittle supporting? He was supporting the sexual abuse of women attracted to the Marianas for jobs. See this on congressional testimony made several months before Ken made his last contribution to Doolittle:

Ken Campbell must have known all about the Marianas situation. It was one of the many well-known and well-publicized issues that made Doolittle damaged goods for the 2008 election. Yet Ken continued to give him money to Doolittle until long after this information was public. He only pulled his support from Doolittle on the calculation that Doolittle would lose to a Democrat in 2008, and even then blamed his dissatisfaction not on Doolittle's highly questionable morals on a number of fronts but on his pork-barrel spending habits.

Knowingly giving money to a politician who was involved in shady deals having nothing to do with his district, deals that were making it possible for women to be exploited in the worst possible way thousands of miles away from their homes. Heck, Ken gave money to Doolittle even after the FBI raided his Virginia home as a part of the Abramoff corruption investigation in April, 2007!
Let's not let Sgt. York off the hook, either. He also gave money to Doolittle after the Marianas story was common knowledge...all the way up to November of 2007.
This must be the "conservative values" I have heard so much about.

When I came to Saipan in 1995, 1 was 14. My passport said I was 21 and I was a tourist. My boss told me in the Philippines that I would be a dancer but not naked. The first day he forced us to dance naked. He said don't tell your age or that you are a tourist. I was shocked. He said if you don't follow me, the door is open. Buy your own ticket and pay back the $1,000 promotion fee. I had no choice. I had no money. I was so scared. I'm so young, I don't know what's going on.
I thought laws in America protect workers and treat people with respect. I thought I would make good money to send home to my family. But I was treated like an animal. Life was really hell in Saipan. I couldn't believe America would let bosses take away my childhood. I should have been in school, not working there naked. I was ashamed. I still have friends there who are suffering like I suffered. I'm not the only one. Many workers are in bad condition. I don't want this to happen to anybody else like happened to me.

Enter Team Abramoff to blunt Miller and Miller's liberal democrat colleagues attempt at reform in the Northern Marianas. To say that John Doolittle was a key member of blunting Miller's reform initiative would be an understatement. Abramoff called Doolittle the "hero" of the Marianas.
Ken Campbell and Aaron Park were key members of Stand By Doolittle long after the Northern Marianas human trafficking stench finally made it to the consciousness on the mainland.
And now they lecture the rest of us about the source of underage prostitution.

According to billing records released by one Abramoff client, the Northern Mariana Islands, Ring billed the Marianas for at least 13 contacts with Doolittle and his staff from May through October of 2001. Doolittle took various actions to advance Abramoff's agenda for the Marianas around that time, including circulating a letter to House colleagues touting improved working conditions there, according to a report in the islands' Saipan Tribune.

Aaron, why did Doolittle take inordinate interest in the affairs of the Northern Marianas? The last time I looked, the Northern Marianas are not part of CA-04. It seems that Doolittle felt that CA-04 was a turn-key operation and he had a great deal of time left over to be the point person in knocking down any efforts to reform the human trafficking mess in the Northern Marianas.
Guess who enabled Doolittle to feel CA-04 was a turn-key operation?

|Where were our local "Tea Party Patriots" when Doolittle was racking up the national debt wallowing in pork? Where were these morally outraged individuals when Doolittle, Abramoff, Ring and the sleazy officials in Saipan were enabling the worst kind of abuse of women and girls?
They were enabling him. Because, you see, it wasn't politically expedient to criticize Doolittle "back in the day". No, instead these guys just shoveled him money and spoke up on his behalf in the face of the most obvious evidence that he was involved in activities through his office that had nothing to do with the district and that were clearly at great odds with his so-called conservative morals.
That's the worst kind of hypocrisy. It's cynical and shameless. And it cannot be justified by trying to change the subject.
No one can believe a word these guys say because every word is chosen based on the politics of the moment.

It was an amazing evening. An FBI agent spoke and told how, just in the Sacramento area, they picked up 100 underage sex slaves and 40 pimps in the last two years. As much as you liberals want to trivialize this, it is real. A judge from Juvenile Hall spoke and told the crowd how they release these girls and they end up with the pimps again. The purpose of this concert was to raise money to build a safe house in Placer County to house these young girls.Sex trafficking with these young girls is appalling and I hope the reason you liberals are so flippant about this is not because you are doing these little girls.
Let's talk about the pervert liberals. Obama's safe school czar told a young boy to be sure a condom was used when he was rapped by a 40 year old man. This same czar thinks the pedophiles in NAMBLA are fine, upstanding citizens.
Here in CA, for example, liberals passed SB 777- if a boy thinks he is a girls that day, you can not discriminate against him... let him be. With SB 777, if a high school boy thinks he is a girl that day- he can just walk into the girls locker room. Of course that is the dream of every high school boy, but the CA legislature should not promote this.
One of my favorite bills, attempted twice, was affectionately called the "Hey Mister, Nice Dress" bill. If one of your male employees wears a dress to work, you could not tell him to get a life and change his cloths. This is Bizarre! Nice job liberals.
This year they passed Harvey Milk Day. In the CA schools Harvey Milk will be put on the same plain as George Washington and Abraham Lincoln- and his perversion will be taught in school. I guess they feel they are doing such a great job teaching the kids the basics that they added this??
And then there is liberal pervert Mark Leno who argues that a certain amount of kiddy porn found on a criminal's computer is O.K.
I could go on, but you liberals already know this. As a note of advice, if you liberals ever could get your eyes off yourselves, and if you spent a fraction of the time you use to trash people working hard to improve the community--- and you used that time trying to improve the community we live in-- you would be much happier people.

Wouldn't you know it, One Hit Wonder Campbell thinks he by spending a weekend warbling in the choir and planting his butt down to listen to this FBI officer and that one, he can now lecture to the rest of us about community volunteerism.
Yes again, Campbell has lost his marbles. He can not remember my reports here at Red County addressed directly to him about my households day-in and day commitment to outreach in the Roseville-Rocklin community.
Once again,I will give a brief. My wife and I are co-chairs of our churches outreach program. The bulk of our outreach thrust is with the Gathering Inn is Roseville. This means raising funds by one means or another through out the year. But it is much more hands on than that. Carole and I are committed to going to the Gathering Inn every Wednesday about 3:15. We help check in about 55 souls. We make sure they have wash cloths, towels, clean underwear and sock, soap and other grooming aids.
When that is more or less accomplished we mingle with the "clients" We seek out those who particularly stick out as perhaps needing our ear and our hand. When special needs are identified, such as clothing appropriate for a hard found new job, we tap into our network of friends and our own funds.
My wife is a clean freak, so she sees that our surrounds are spic and span. I continue smoozing with this or that client and when trust is gained over time, get a glimpse into their personal history. Relationships are important to be called upon in later situations. Maybe a client who is in advanced Hodgkins needs watched over to see that he gets 4 cans on Insure a day that my wife has funded.
At church, we put out the call for what seems to be in short supply at the time and have a Socks Sunday or a Wash Cloth Sunday.
My wife wrote a very recently funded grant for money to reunite clients with their families. This money is solely ear marked for bus tickets back to families who lives at great distance from Roseville.
I will be starting to relieve paid staff by doing intakes of new persons seeking entry into Gathering Inn.
Commitment to community is not once in a while. It is a commitment much more in depth than that.
Ken, I invite you to join me at the Gathering Inn on Wednesdays. I think we would like each other. The Gathering Inn needs folks such as my wife and I to cover other evenings of the weeks. The Gathering Inn needs folks blessed with the networks we have to respond quickly to special needs...

|Campbell's belated response did not at all address the sordid fact: He gave money to Doolittle AFTER it was well known that Doolittle was involved in a very unethical body of work with the CNMI people that he also knew was directly contributing to an environment that set up girls and women for sex slavery.
He knew this yet he still gave money to Doolittle and NEVER denounced him for his actions. Yes, he's quick to make unsubstantiated charges about liberals pandering for sex slavers but he totally sidesteps his own personal responsibility for the deplorable sex slavery conditions in the Marianas.
Notice also how he slips from sex slavery to his patented homophobia. As if the two were the same. News flash, Ken - they aren't.
Very sad. In your next post Ken, tell us how you rationalized giving money to Doolittle in light of the revelations of his role in the CNMI mess. We are all ears.
