Roger Niello - like the rest of the Republicans has been a spectator while Karen Bass and her stormtroopers have been behaving like Heroin addicts spending as fast as they can get the money.

Now that the state is broke - the Treasurer and the Controller are piling on trying to make the crisis as bad as possible to back the spending lobby.

Niello is a businessman - and has the common sense of a businessman.

Niello has suggested the following:

A strengthened Rainy-Day fund

A real spending cap

However - Roger was at his best when he wrote an op-ed suggesting performance-based budgeting. (Of course the labor unions HATE this idea as it might upset the apple cart)
