Yesterday, Assembly Republicans delivered a letter to California Taxpayers Association president Teresa Cassaza, expressing their great disappointment with the organization's recent vote to support the Governor's proposed 1 cent sales tax increase, a tax increase which will cost taxpayers $9 billion over the next three years and cost 58,000 jobs according to the Board of Equalization.  A copy of the letter can be found here.

It is unfortunate that an organization that purports to look out for the taxpayer has taken a position now that undermines the potential for real budget reform and only emboldened Democrats on raising taxes.
