RPLAC: New Day...New Leadership
By Allen Wilson | 05/15/09 | 02:58 AM EDT | 7 Comments
After a long meeting at the Republican Party of Los Angeles County (RPLAC) Central Committee held in Van Nuys, the seriousness of the Executive Board leadership prompted the body to make swift changes.
Mike Osborn, Chairman of the Ventura County Republican Party and Central Coast Vice Chairman of the California Republican Party, served as Temporary Chair at the request of the RPLAC Central Committee to neturalize the situation.
Steve Baric, Chairman of the California Republican Lawyer's Association and Secretary of the California Republican Party, served as Temporary Parliamentarian.
After much lengthy discussion among the body and votes were taken, the RPLAC installed new members of the Executive Board:
Jane Barnett - Chairman
Gary Aminoff - 1st Vice Chairman
John Cozza - 2nd Vice Chairman
Alex Burrola - Secretary
Davina Keiser - Assistant Secretary
Leonard Lanzi - Treasurer
Gwen Patrick - Assistant Treasurer
Newly installed RPLAC Chairman Jane Barnett spoke by thanking the members and that she is willing to forge ahead, because there is work needs to be done from the ground up for the largest county party in the state of California and the nation.
Mrs. Barnett stated that, "We need to get back to the basics of who we are as a party: Reagan, conservative, basic government, limited government."
The RPLAC membership gave standing applause to outgoing RPLAC Chairman Glen Forsch for his dedication to the Republican party.

Changing the players is only effective if there is a plan of action that will equate to healing the divisions in our party and focus on the economic issues which is what the voters care about....jobs!

|The GOP is hurt bad when, they work to divide up the party. Notice that the story mentions, California Republican Party (CRP) Leadership and lawyers in the meeting. This week, both CRP Chairman Ron Nehring and RNC Chairman Michael Steele were in Los Angeles. Seems the establishment really wanted new leadership for the party. I wonder why?
The CRP leadership did not want to take a stand on the May 19th election. Thanks to Tom Hudson, Placer County Republican Party Chairman, forcing the issue with the CRP and making it happen. Remember, this is the same CRP that choose our current governor over McClintock.
The question of why is certainly a rehtorical question. Why now Ron Nehring? Why does the CRP sue Republicans in Alameda County and change bylaws, in Contra Costa County, in order to keep the old guard in, who recieved very few votes in the election?
There is a common theme. Wonder what it is?

|The establishment GOP might think they have won a victory for LA county, but they have opened up a nest of bees...Liberty minded bees. Those that wish freedom and Liberty for ALL will not sit aside and let the Ron Nehring R.I.N.Os take control over the party. As the previous poster stated about Ron Nehring and chairmen Michael Steele being in LA at the same time should not be taken lightly. They were there to facilitate the corruption and take over. This neo-conservative GOP isn't just about "basic" governemt as was stated but about freedom. "Basic" government by decree is no more than evil government. There is no such thing as basic government in today's world. What the establish Republicans meant was that they want government as they see fit. As we have seen from history government has only destroyed the people's liberties, private privacy, and destroyed it's nations currency through Fractional Reserve Banking. This new "leadership" wants more of the same. They only serve their special interests and have no real concern about "we the people" People are waking up to the corruption and I tell you that there is a Revolution on the horizon.

|And not just California. What has happened to our party? I'm a dues paying,
campaign-donating Republican for a quarter-century and have earned the right to
criticize. But our current situation speaks for itself.
Our California leadershp has chosen the big-government position at every
opportunity. It's a disgrace and they are frauds. I remember. I remember when
we at least paid lip service to reducing the size and scope of government.
Now we have nothing but apologists for every big government compromise.
The rank-and-file needs to resolve to rid itself of the current CRP
"leadership" and all the worthless big government powerlusters waiting in the
wings. Let's wipe the slate clean of this whole crew and go with people we
reasonably think will represent our positions - namely 1) that government is
the problem, not the solution, and 2) we need to make the state government
smaller, not just settle for reductions in growth.
Make your choice: loyalty to our party's hijackers or loyalty to principle.

|I hope the Republicrat RINOs realize that the RON PAUL way is far closer to conservatism than the big government BS they are always foisting on the GOP.
Arnold has been a disgrace as well.
