Last night at the Historic Mission Inn in downtown Riverside, the Riverside County Republic Party Central Committee changed directions and elected a new Chairman and Vice-Chairman, Ken Minesinger and Tom Rogers respectively.

Minesinger, who was formerly the vice-chair of the party, and Rogers, who was the former vice-chair of precinct operations, were both elected unanimously.  Over the last four years Ken has worked to raise money for the party and has led the county's ballot integrity program.  According to a source present, Minesinger's platform included commitments to re-energize the base, register voters in the northern part of the county and to raise funds to support grass roots efforts.

Other officers elected down ticket were both incumbents, Charlene Stover as Secretary and Chris Mann as Treasurer.

The night concluded with remarks from Southern California Republican Party Vice-Chair, Jon Fleischman. He encouraged newly sworn in Central Committee members not to become "democrat-lite" but to return to our Republican roots.  He finished by reiterating the key points of his new Flash Report post called "Fat Fabien" which speaks to the State's 42% budget increase under the leadership of the Democrats.

In elections to the Executive Board of the RPRC, the Northwest caucus re-elected Phil Breitenbucher as Caucus vice-chair and CRP Associate Representative Eric Linder as Deputy vice-chair. The Eastern Caucus elected Bette Myers as caucus vice-chair and Chairman-Emeritus Bob Richmond as Deputy Vice-Chair.  The Southwest Caucus elected Bob Seibert as vice-chair and Congressman Darrell Issa's District Director, Phil Paule as deputy vice-chairman.

Congratulations and good luck to Ken Minesinger and a big "thank you" to outgoing Chairman Bob Richmond for the all of the tireless efforts and late hours that he has dedicated to our Republican cause these last two years.

We have a lot of work to do in Riverside County, but as someone who knows our Central Committee members relatively well, their is no one I would trust more to turn it around than the group elected last night.
