Republican Party of Riverside County Endorsements

This list of endorsed candidates from the northwest Riverside County region just came in from over the transom:
Jurupa Unified School District
Tracy McMahon, Area 2: For most of the past 30 years, this seat has been held by John Chavez, a conservative Democrat and well-respected board member. His retirement creates an open seat on the Board, with a fairly classic ideological split: a conservative community volunteer and parent vs. a liberal special ed teacher connected to the teachers union. As this gave us a simple Democrat vs. Republican choice, this was an easy decision.
Noreen Considine, Area 4: This was a seat that the Party endorsed in in 2004. The incumbent, Carl Harris, was the endorsed candidate at that time; his subsequent term on the Board, featuring a very comfortable relationship with District Administration and the local teachers union, led Noreen into this race. A retired Naval officer, she has also been a dedicated volunteer and is a staunch conservative looking to solve the problems JUSD is facing.
Corona-Norco Unified School District
Cathy Sciortino and Michell Skipworth: While change is needed on this board as well, we believe that incumbent Sciortino has both the willingness and institutional knowledge needed to accomplish this. Skipworth, wife of city councilman Stan Skipworth, will bring a fresh voice to the Board and should be able to quickly acclimate herself to it.
Riverside Community College District
Samuel Davis: Davis, the only Republican running, has demonstrated a good grasp on the complexities of community college issues. Electing him can swing this Board to a Republican majority, allowing Janet Green and Virginia Blumenthal, previously endorsed by the party, the ability to affect the changes RCC needs.
Moreno Valley City Council
District 3: Two Republicans are running to replace Democrat Frank West, Robin Hastings and Ray Carbajal. Hastings is Chief of Staff to Supervisor Marion Ashley; Carbajal is a local businessman. While we did not make an endorsement in this race, we encourage Republicans to look at one of these candidates to replace West, who will be supported heavily by the local Democratic club in Moreno Valley.
District 5: Bill Batey. Batey, a Riverside firefighter, currently serves as Moreno Valley's Mayor under the rotational system they have. While unopposed, Bill has helped many Republicans over the years, and is fighting to better the life for citizens of Moreno Valley.
Corona City Council
Jason Scott: While two seats are open, Scott was the only candidate we endorsed. An active and involved Republican, he serves as an Alternate Member on the Central Committee. Jason's platform featured many of the views and policies we hope council candidates countywide share.

Jason Scott a Union hack. Not sure too many Republicans countywide share those views.
How come no endorsements for Boghmont?
Russ has 2 employees running for water seats!
Needs to keep control in Boghmont so his company
will get those no bid contract.
This is only the list for the Northwest Region. It's the only region that asked me to post it.

Judge Mike Rushton prior to this position was at the District attorney office. He was the Chief Deputy at Da of Riverside County. He stated and backed up by Victims Advocate Department there in DA office that the County of Riverside does not have a elders victim advocate. Then after the closing of the case as a exception (not investigate), victims family saw in the news paper a national award for the program in Riverside and Rod Pacheco getting the award. Homicide of a 68 year old and his wife 72 were attacked. Adult protective services have also refused to even make a call on Lee Frank after several request. I read it is a legal requirement for the Sheriff to report a elder's death to Adult Protective Services which was not done. You can look up and follow this case by searching Nye Frank Racing.
