RCYR's Change Meeting Location and Walk For Cancer Awareness

One thing that I think is important to have a successful political club, especially for younger voters, is to have a stable meeting location.
The Riverside County Young Republicans have followed this theory very closely only moving the club twice in the 5-6 years it has been in existence. But the club has grown and the time to move is here again. The new meeting location is Killarney's Restaurant & Irish Pub. RCYR members seemed to like the new location last month when Martin Paine from the Inland Empire New Majority gave us a presentation on Presidential advance work.
RCYR General Meeting:
Thursday, 6:30pm April 10, 2008 at Killarney's Restaurant & Irish Pub
3639 Riverside Plaza Dr. Ste 532
Riverside, CA 92506
951-682-2933
Another RCYR related item is the annual Relay For Life, the American Cancer Society's signature event. The RCYR's will be participating for the 3rd or 4th year as members of "Ortensia's Hot Tamales" in the Corona Relay for Life.
The Relay for Life this year is on June 14-15 at Santiago High School in Corona.
Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight experience designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer. At Relay, people from within the community gather to celebrate survivors, remember those lost to cancer, and to fight back against this disease.
Relay participants help raise money and awareness to support the American Cancer Society in its lifesaving mission to eliminate cancer as a major health issue. During Relay For Life ® events, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps.
