At a press conference yesterday in Indio, Riverside County Sheriff Stan Sniff announced his endorsement of conservative Republican and businessman Russ Bogh. District Attorney Rod Pacheco also attended the event and reiterated his support for Bogh's campaign.

"I stand with my fellow deputies in Riverside county as well as police and firefighters across the state in endorsing Russ Bogh for the State Senate,"  Sniff said.  "During his time in the Assembly, Russ Bogh repeatedly demonstrated his commitment to public safety, and I know as our next Senator he will continue to put the safety of our county as his first priority."  

"It is a great honor to have Sheriff Sniff's support," Bogh said.  "He has been a leader in law enforcement here in Riverside County for many years.   Sheriff Sniff knows my record and my commitment to public safety.  I think the voters of Riverside County trust his judgment and I am proud to have his endorsement for the Senate."
