PRESS RELEASE:
Norco Mayor Frank Hall is the latest local elected official to endorse Russ Bogh in the upcoming election for the 37th State Senate District.
"Russ Bogh is a proven leader that has always been a friend to Norco," Mayor Hall said. "In the State Assembly, Russ Bogh fought to protect cities like ours. He worked to bring our tax dollars back to Riverside County to meet our transportation and public safety needs. Russ also authored a very important law, AB 2184, which finally allows cities to regulate and monitor group homes for parolees and sex offenders that are being dumped into our communities. Russ Bogh is the type of Senator that Norco needs."
Russ Bogh served in the State Assembly from 2001 to 2006 representing Riverside County's 65th Assembly District. In the Assembly Bogh was selected as the Republican Caucus Chair, the second highest leadership position of the Assembly Republicans. Bogh's relationship with the city and people of Norco dates back to the early 1990's when he served on Governor Pete Wilson's staff as his Inland Empire representative.
"I am very grateful for Mayor Hall's support," Bogh said. "He has served on the City Council during both good and bad economic times for our State. He has my sincere commitment that in the State Senate I will work hard to make the politicians in Sacramento live within their means. I will fight against all tax increases and I will never vote to take money from public safety or transportation to pay for social programs."
Frank Hall was first elected to the Norco City Council in 1997. In addition to his Council duties, Mayor Hall also serves as Norco's representative on the Riverside County Transportation Commission, the Western Riverside County Conservation Authority, the Riverside Transportation Agency, the Western Riverside Council of Governments, and represents Riverside County on the California League of Cities Board of Directors. In 2003 Hall was instrumental in preventing the federal government from closing the Naval Warfare Assessment Center in Norco. That fall he received the highest number of votes in his re-election bid.
