Brian Nestande Signs No Tax Pledge

(Palm Desert) - Brian Nestande committed to voting against tax increases and signed a pledge to, "Oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes."
"Government revenues have grown by 40% the past few years, a remarkable sum by any measurement. However, spending has grown by 44%. Clearly, we must seek ways to cut wasteful spending and "trim the fat" in our State Budget. Further feeding the problem with more taxes will only increase the problem, not solve it." said Nestande.
Created in 1986, the Taxpayer Protection Pledge is a commitment to the constituents of a candidate's district. Organized by American's for Tax Reform, more than 1,200 state officeholders have signed the pledge across America.
In California the pledge holds special importance. With a two-thirds requirement for any new tax, Republican votes are needed to approve any tax hike.
"Again, pledging to oppose tax increases is only the first step," continued Nestande. "Identifying and cutting waste, seeking ways to streamline government spending, and encouraging business rather than hassling it, will be my priorities in the State Assembly."

WOW! Only took him 9 months longer than Kelly McCarty to sign it! She signed it in May of last year. Guess it took Kelly McCarty less time to realize that taxes are bad for Riverside County.
Oh Brian Nestande knows he doesn't like taxes --- that's why he's consistently failed to pay his on time! Just check the Riverside County Recorders Office. But that should not surprise anyone since he is a Nestande and those characters always seem to act like they are better than the law.
Kelly McCarty just recently received the official endorsement from the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association. That fact, coupled with the fact that Kelly was first by a long shot in signing the No Tax Pledge (nine months before Brian Nestande did), says to me that Kelly McCarty is a lot more serious than Brian Nestande about fighting any tax increases.
Are you guys still scrapping on this site? I think you should be going to the voters by now.....
