Posted by: Darin Schemmer | 02/01/2008 3:01 PM
Assemblyman John Benoit reported $482,778 cash on hand in this latest reporting period. Russ Bogh reported $463,368.
Significant is the fact that Benoit raised $165,898, while Bogh raised $114,493 in this last six month period. This is the second consecutive six-month period that Benoit has led in fundraising.
The Benoit for Senate Campaign continues to attract significant endorsement and fundraising support.

Interesting. Two men afraid of shadows in a race against each other.
Let's throw another one at them.
One camp says they have a video tape of John Pate doing dirty comedy material on stage. Please produce it for the public. If it is truly an actual tape, I am sure Mr. Pate will withdraw from his Assembly Race. If it is NOT, then this camp is to be deemed a LIAR and they should not be trusted in any office again.
The other camp stated that Mr. Pate THINKS he is a friend of Jay Leno. Please call Mr. Leno and ask him yourself. If the answer from Mr. Leno is "No, I do not know nor like John Pate. No he is NOT a friend of mine.", then I am sure Mr. Pate will withdraw from his Assembly Race.
But the REAL question is this. What is it about Mr. Pate that FRIGHTENS these two pillars of Sacramento SO much?
Both Benoit & Bogh are in a different race, a Senate race. And yet, they claim to know ANYTHING about John Pate??
Or do they realize that someone who actually can articulate a clear message that reflects the true values people want BETTER than they have ever done is now threatening to take their 'Perceived Power' away from them.
Neither one will accept the above challange, and neither one will admit to making the claims. But for the sake of full disclosure, maybe the voters should know who they will be putting back in Sacramento.
Sadly, they both think much too highly of themselves.
Gentlemen, See those trees? Yes, it IS called a forest.
To anyone who is remotely interested in this local race,(And I think that adds up to about four or five people) unless something drastically changes in my favor within the next few weeks, I may be forced to step back from my race anyway because of lack of financial backing/interest, and a recent loss in our family.
Even though I feel that our campaign carries the best message for the district, and I can give a moral voice to those who have felt silenced in the past, I may need to pick a better time. I will make that announcement when it is proper.
In the meantime, I would be very interested in seeing any tapes that anyone has of my performances. I have never seen myself do vulgar comedy material, so it would be fun to watch. As for knowing Jay Leno, call his show and ask if you desire to, but I don't know how knowing him, (or being his friend) would help anyone think it would make me a better Assemblyman.
As I have recently been made painfully aware, life is too short to hurt people.
Sincerely,
John Pate-64th Assembly Candidate
Hey Darin,
Why don't you tell the readers of this blog how of that money Benoit raised, $40,000 of it is a loan to himself and that $140,000 of Benoit's money is from his Assembly account? So that in reality, Bogh kicked Benoit's ass in the last reporting period by about $100 grand.
And why don't you also tell them how Benoit is being audited and can't yet use that $140K from his Assembly account.
Or do you not get those Memos working in Benoit's District Office? You should ask your boss Barry about it. Or maybe you're too busy answering phones - kid.
