Senator Dutton Named California State Sheriffs' Association Outstanding Senator

Because of his tireless efforts towards guarding public safety, Sen. Bob Dutton (R-Rancho Cucamonga) was named Outstanding Senator for 2007 by the California State Sheriffs' Association.

Senator Dutton was one of eight members of the California State Senate to receive the prestigious honor.

"I believe strengthening public safety by supporting our law enforcement agencies is one of my top responsibilities as an elected member of the California State Senate," Senator Dutton said. "I'm humbled to be honored by such a prestigious group as the California State Sheriffs' Association who dedicate their lives to making our communities a safer place to live, work and play."

Both Riverside County Sheriff Stanley Sniff and San Bernardino County Sheriff Gary Penrod voiced their approval of Senator Dutton being recognized by the California State Sheriffs' Association.

"Senator Dutton has always been a strong advocate of law enforcement," said Sheriff Sniff. "Because of his efforts as a member of the California State Senate we are able to continue to serve and protect our communities."

"I have known Senator Dutton for many years and he always does what he can to make sure we can do our jobs as effectively as possible," Sheriff Penrod said. "He is and always will be a strong voice for law enforcement in Sacramento."
