RCYR's Oppose Term Limits Extension, Support Tribal Compacts

I finally recieved photos from the Riverside County Young Republican candidate forum where the club endorsed John Benoit for the 37th Senate District, Brian Nestande for the 64th Assembly District and Gary Jeandron for the 80th Assembly District. And as you can see, it was packed.
What I did not mention in my previous post is the RCYR positions on the state ballot initiatives.
The club took a neutral position on Prop 91, opposed 92 & 93, and supported all of the tribal gaming compacts in Props. 94, 95, 96 and 97.
Prop 91 would prohibit Sacramento from raiding our highway taxes to paper over their budget deficits. But when Prop. 1A passed last year, Prop.91's sponsors dropped this measure after it qualified. Since the differences between 1A and 91 are minimal, the club took a neutral position.
I must admit that it makes me crazy that initiatives like the California Border Police, the Crime Victims Protection Act or the California Real ID Act can't get qualified, but Prop. 91 is on the ballot and no one even wants to campaign for it now.
Prop. 92 just throws more money at the education problem without demanding any reforms so the club opposed that initiative. And of course, after watching Fabian Nunez duck through kitchens with body guards and fly to France to drink expensive wine in a cave, almost everyone in the club voted to oppose a term limits extension for Nunez and Don Perata.
Finally, when it comes to the tribal compacts, I think Tom McClintock put it best,
The RCYR's voted to support Props. 94, 95, 96 and 97.
